Eric Brown

Founder/Director & Lead Tour operator Eric Brown is a proud descendant of the Yuin, Bidjigal, Dharawal and Gundungarra people, a recognised member of the Aboriginal community and a descendant of known apical ancestors from the cultural area which covers the La Perouse Aboriginal Land Council / Metropolitan Land Council area. He has significant expertise and experience delivering and facilitating group cultural programs for young people in custody, including one-on-one support in his prior role as Aboriginal Practice Officer at Frank Baxter Youth Justice Centre (2018-2023), which involved delivering weekly group cultural sessions to 12-15 young people for 3-5 hrs per session. Through Natcha Cultural Tours, Eric also delivers On Country camps for people with a disability and members of the public through who wish to participate in an inclusive cultural tours which shares the knowledge of Country, sacred sites and traditional lore to connect the broader community to the land. These tours are paid and proceeds are intended to fund the Natcha Project. Prior to the Natcha Project he has 10+ years experience as a Youth Worker with Youth Off the Streets and Youth Justice as a Youth Worker, Case Worker & Aboriginal Practice Officer, and has co-facilitated the Nura Gamarada Cultural Learning Group. He has a Cert 4 in Leadership and Management, Advance diploma of Business, Cert 3 in Youth Work, Diploma of Counselling and is a Member of the Australian Counselling Association.
